小太郎ちゃんは鼻腔内腫瘍で漢方薬治療を始めて1年と4ヶ月になりましたが、先日も元気な姿を見せてくれました。左鼻の上部が少し膨らんできましたが、くしゃみで時折鼻血を出してしまうこと以外は、不都合なく穏やかに過ごしてます。漢方薬治療で免疫を上げて癌の進行を抑え、炎症をコントロールすることで症状を和らげ、QOLを維持することを目指しています。ここにきて膨らみが少し目立ってきましたが、これが大きくなって目を圧迫すると、、、など考えたり、検索するとご家族も不安になってしまうようですが、それもその子それぞれで予想できるものではないので、これだけ長い間穏やかに過ごせている「今」を大事にし続けてあげてもらえればと思います。
