西洋薬のエビデンスは確率論ですが、実際薬を飲む子にとっては、重大な副作用が出るか、出ないかのどちらかです。

先生がいくら文献等の知識で「副作用は少ないです」と言っていても、実際その子に副作用が現れているならば止めるべきです。

知識偏重で、実際の症状を蔑ろにされ、冷ややかにされたとしても、そこはご家族が判断すべきなのです。

情報過多の時代なので、探せば最もらしい「正解」に溢れていますが、

目の前の子にとって、それらが正解とは限りません。

外に正解を求めてしまうと、良かれと信じる治療が、逆にペットやご家族を苦しめ続けることもあります。

後悔しないためには、まずは「その子にどうして過ごさせてあげたいか」を考え、今の治療がその望みに沿っているのか、一度立ち止まって考える必要があると思います。

押し付けられる正解や知識だけでなく、日々の実感や違和感に気づき、信頼することは、情報が溢れる時代だからこそ必要だと思います。
